Auburn Redyard Brings the Spice
The Auburn Spice Market will host various food trucks Saturday and Sunday, allowing locals to pop in for a spicy feast, free henna, a variety of activities for all ages and music. This is the first time the Auburn Spice Market will run, with ample furniture and heating provided for a cosy Spring festival.
Across the weekend there will be something to satisfy every craving, with food trucks bringing the best of Sydney’s street food. The market will include Agape Organic and Granny Ivy Food Trucks by organic Chef Simon Lawson, Shiso Fine, serving up gourmet Japanese street food, Chicken Hustle Food Truck delivering delicious Korean fried chicken and Pasalubongs with Filipino soul food.
2 Smokin Arabs will be showing off their amazing meat smoker, Sabor Food Truck will be on hand to offer up some South American cuisine and Sol y Luna’s Mexican will cater to those after something spicier. For the vegetarians, Falafel Bros. will be dishing up plenty of veggie and vegan options. Fried ice-cream gurus Duo Duo will also be serving up dessert for the sweet-tooths.
The exciting weekend will kick off with a special screening of Shoplifters (Japan) winner of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or award 2018 on Friday 19 October at 7pm, with additional films from around the globe including Lebanon, Palestine and Turkey to screen across the weekend. The program will form part of the ongoing commitment to film diversity at Reading Cinemas Auburn Redyard over the coming years.
The event will also coincide with the completion of the complex facelift including the introduction of the amazing TITAN LUXE auditorium, featuring a massive 24m wide screen, recliner seats and blockbuster sound. A brand-new range of premium cinemas with recliner seats offers tickets for just $13 – luxury without the price tag. Standard cinema tickets will be available every day of the week for just $11.
“We are very excited to launch our brand new International Films at Auburn Redyard program in conjunction with the Auburn Spice Market. We take great pride in being able to showcase content from a variety of cultures around the world. We’re looking forward to growing this program further in partnership with the local community” – Mike Vile, Head of Film Programming for Reading Cinemas.
Entry is free and open to all ages for the Auburn Spice Markets and tickets available for the International Films line-up can be purchased via Readings Cinemas Auburn website.
