Start your weekend right, with bottomless breakfast mimosas, while making cheese from scratch at Sydney’s Tramsheds.

Glossy & silky, mild & milky: You’ll be heating, stretching, folding and “balling” your way to melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella.

Join us for this action-packed, hands-on beginners cheese making class at Sydney’s Tramsheds, where we will turn you into a mozzarella boss in less than 90 minutes. We’ll show you how to whip up delicious cheeses in your urban Sydney kitchen using common kitchen equipment you’ll have at home already.

Sip on breakfast mimosas while we cover the basics of milk selection using store-bought milk, acidification, coagulation and finally turning the curds into luscious melty mozzarella.

Cheese Class Includes:

  • Cheese making theory and demonstration.
  • Making your own mozzarella to take home (close to 1kg).
  • Bottomless mimosas.
  • Recipe Booklet (Also includes recipes for bocconcini, burrata, mascarpone and ricotta).
  • 20% off our DIY Cheese Making Kits on the day.

Class will run for approx. 90 minutes.

ABOUT MARLY (founder of Omnom)

Marly (AKA: The Cheese Queen) is the founder of Omnom Cheese Making and a home cheese making expert. Her cheese making hunger started in 2011 as a food science student, on a student budget, with a halloumi addiction. She has since appeared in Timeout Magazine, Concrete Playground, The Urban List, Northshore Times, WeekendNotes and various other publications and has never received less than a 5-star review.

Her style of cheese making is aimed at the urban food-lover and busy Sydney City dweller. Her recipes are quick, don’t require huge amounts of hands-on labour and are specially tailored to suit an apartment-style kitchen with regular kitchen equipment.

“Fresh cheeses such as mozzarella (halloumi, chèvre, ricotta, feta, burrata etc.) are some of the easiest and quickest cheeses to whip up in your own urban kitchen, with limited kitchen equipment and store-bought milk. My aim is to inspire you, and to have you feeling 100% confident in your own ability to make cheese when you walk out of any of my classes.”
