Stockland Balgowlah is helping to spread the Christmas spirit, kicking off the season with a lineup of activities and entertainment for the entire family to enjoy.

Lisa Vaughan, Centre Manager at Stockland Balgowlah, said that the centre wanted to treat customers to festive fun that was unique to the traditional shopping experience.

“We’ve organised a number of activities to help make the Christmas season easier and more enjoyable for the entire family. From Santa photos and charity gift wrapping stations, to extended trading hours and more, customers have access to it all in the convenience of one place.

“It’s also a way to show the community how much we value their continued support, and to provide them with festive experiences in the convenience of their local centre.”

Santa has arrived at Stockland Balgowlah located in front of Bean Obsessed, and will be available for daily photos right up until Christmas Eve. As an added special treat, each child who visits Santa at the centre will also receive a free Christmas toy.

Lisa continued: “We understand that some of our younger customers with sensory challenges would benefit from a specially modified experience with Santa which is why we are offering ‘Sensitive Santa’ photos.

“This means no queue, a private 10-minute booking and a chair next to Santa, all during a quiet time before the centre opens up to the public.”

Santa photos will be made available to customers’ fur babies as well, with a ‘Paws and Claus’ session scheduled for 7 and 8 December, from 3pm to 5pm.*

For a gold coin donation, customers will be able to have their gifts specially wrapped in limited-edition Dunder paper by the volunteers from Bear Cottage, with all proceeds to benefit the charity. The station will be located next to The Taste of Spring Hills.

The Rotary Club’s ‘Tree of Joy’ has also once again returned and is located in front of My Choice. This year’s focus is on supporting the Rural Fire Service and those affected by the drought. The Tree of Joy is available until 20 December for customers to donate gifts to those less fortunate this Christmas.

To further ease the shopping experience, Stockland Balgowlah will have a child minding service available to customers, every day between 10am and 2pm from Monday 16 December to Christmas Eve, located in front of Coles.
