First Australian platform for kids’ activity bookings launched as one-stop shop
The company is seeking their first children activity providers to sign up and enable parents to find, book and review their services, with the first 50 providers receiving free access for the first six months.
The company is run by three parents – Yuvaraj Jagadeesan, Raman Bhalla and Mario Sam – who saw the need to bring activity and children activity service providers together with parents in one place, as well as a complete calendar of activities to keep track of their child’s schedule.
Particularly with the current ‘stay-at-home’ restrictions due to COVID-19, an online booking platform where children activity providers can promote their online classes and parents can entertain their kids via a screen is in great demand.
Children activity providers who use the platform will be able to list their services and class sessions, have parents book online without manual phone calls or booking logs and have payments made in one place.
They can also see full analytics reporting fully booked classes, which classes are most popular, which sessions are vacant and their monthly revenue to optimise business performance. They can also sell add-ons with their activities such as books for tutoring services, footballs or sports equipment or cakes for a birthday party booked online.
Father of two and co-founder, Yuvaraj Jagadeesan, said that the platform was designed so that children activity providers could continue to focus on what they do best – delivering children-focused activities from martial arts and dance classes to craft and tutoring classes.
“At Playbee we want children activity providers to find themselves with less stress, lower manual processing costs and better ways to track their bookings, follow up payments and generate business reports,” he said.
“We also take care of your messaging requirements from reminders to parents or single messages to a specific parent.”
He explained that partners were also able to provide instant discounts, sale classes and simplified dispute resolution services.
Mr Jagadeesan said that Playbee was designed for children to discover, learn, play and grow in a safe and reviewed environment.
“We’ve launched today and are now seeking our first influx of parents and providers, and we will offer the first 50 partners access to list their activities at no cost for the first six months. Parents will always access the platform free of charge,” he said.
“We hope that this will become a one-stop shop for both parents and children activity providers to manage Aussie kids’ activities, particularly while many are stuck at home looking for activities and entertainment options.”
