Glen Street Theatre General Tickets on Sale from 6 January
If you haven’t been to Glen Street Theatre before, now is the time to see what is on offer. Melbourne International Comedy Festival will be hitting our stage for the first time, along with the international sell out musical 50 Shades! The Musical Parody.
After a successful Subscription Season release on 25 November, the subscriber priority booking period is coming to an end with many shows already well on the way to being sold out.
Theatre Director Belinda Gibson said: “The shows are showing incredible momentum at the moment. I’m so proud of the diverse array of shows we have coming to our venue in 2020. With more matinees, comedy, live music and family shows there really is something for everyone. We have already seen such a positive response from our theatre subscribers and we are so excited to release these shows for everyone to enjoy.”
Glen Street Theatre has always offered the best touring dramas from around the country. The 2020 program continues this tradition with a selection of quality independent dramas, The Wharf Revue touring for the final year and H.M.S. Pinafore from musical theatre powerhouse Hayes Theatre Co.
There is an amazing array of Australian talent including John Bell, Tom Burlinson, Simon Tedeschi, Jonathan Biggins and the fabulous femme fatales of Girls on Tap.
Increasingly popular, the Family program brings to life Edward The Emu, The 91-Storey Treehouse, a magical musical circus and death defying balloon rides so there is plenty to entertain kids aged 3 – 12 years (and their adults)!
The Matinee Music program returns with regular Monday 11am shows, including a special one-off performance coming direct from New York. With hit reviews from the Broadway Season, this one is sure to be a sellout.
Whether you are a regular or a first timer, explore the range of shows on offer and book now before you miss out on a great year of entertainment.
There is easy access, plenty of parking, 400 comfy seats, and great local shops, restaurants and cafés nearby– so you can really make a whole day or night out.
