Quarantine yourself with the paranormal this Halloween!
Q Station, formerly known as the North Head Quarantine Station, is consistently voted as one of the most haunted sites in Australia. Over 572 bodies are recorded to be buried on the property as it was the final resting place for many migrants who suffered arduous journeys to Australia on ships plagued by infectious disease. The Quarantine Station was open from 1828 – 1984 and witness to over 150 years of misfortune. Untimely deaths have left behind many stories of pain, loss and suffering; as well as the accompanying restless spirits which haunt the site today.
Family Fright Night: Designed for ages 8 - 14 and their accompanying adults, this tour will take family groups on a wild adventure through haunted spaces with many unexpected surprises! Perfect for those who are interested in an adrenaline rush. Family Fright Night runs for 90 minutes and costs $40 per adult and $32 per child.
Halloween Scream: This tour is fun for those who may not really believe in ghosts but want to enjoy a scare or two as they visit Q Station’s shadowy buildings. Designed for ages 15+, Halloween Scream costs $40 per person.
Ghostly Encounters: Due to popular demand, Q Station’s storytelling tour will run every night for those aged 15 and over. It includes some of the quarantine station’s history to set the scene, followed by ghostly tales of unexplained happenings to send shivers down your spine! By lantern light, your guide will take you through the infamous shower block, historic hospital precinct and the creepy gravedigger’s cottage. Ghostly Encounters costs $49 per person (Saturday surcharge applies).
Spirit Investigator: Investigate the paranormal presences of the Quarantine Station using the latest ghost hunting equipment! A four hours spirit investigation around the chilling quarantine site. Age 18+ only. Adult $125.00
Ghost tours run every night of the year at Q Station (except Christmas and New Years Eve), though Halloween tours are always extra popular. Guests are encouraged to dress up in costume when attending a tour.
