Sculpture at Scenic World is Australia’s premier outdoor sculpture exhibition that will transform the ancient rainforest into an outdoor gallery from April 12 – May 12.

Set among towering Jurassic rainforest in the heart of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, Sculpture at Scenic World 2019 will capture the imagination of young and old with 25 thought provoking artworks from local, national and international artists.

Expect the unexpected as you meander along the 2.4km Scenic Walkway, marvelling at stunning scenery and artworks, ranging from subtle sculptures to bold installations that interact with the natural environment in new ways.

Accessed by the world’s steepest railway with the iconic Three Sisters as a backdrop, Sculpture at Scenic World provides the perfect excuse for a weekend arts escape, with a range of exclusive accommodation packages on offer. A range of kids’ workshops and free activities will also keep the little ones entertained.

Top off your arts exploration with a visit to Sculpture Otherwise – an exhibition of smaller sculptures held at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre – or Tracks, an exciting outdoor exhibition which showcases a series of artworks at iconic locations throughout the Greater Blue Mountains Area.

Sculpture at Scenic World provides a unique opportunity to celebrate the talents of artists from near and
far, featuring a prize pool of $30,000.

Selected artists will go in the running for a number of awards including the highly coveted $20,000 Scenic World Major Award, the $5000 Artist Peer Award, the $3000 Environmental Award, the $2000 Scenic World Staff Choice Award, and the $1000 Carrington Hotel People’s Choice Prize. Shortlisted artists will also receive a $1000 grant for exhibiting in the 2019 exhibition.

Whether you’re an arts enthusiast or a complete novice, Sculpture at Scenic World ticks all the right boxes for a perfect arts escape, just 90 minutes from Sydney.
