Symbio's Red Panda Cubs are Growing Up
Born on the 14 January 2018 with a remarkable resemblance to a plush toy, the cubs 'Shifu' and 'Makalu' have grown into the cutest and most loveable little guys and have definitely found their way into the heart of their favourite Zoo Keeper, Beth, and visitors to the park alike.
The adorable video posted to their Symbio Wildlife Park Facebook page this morning is filled with the cutest of cuddles and playful antics, hand feeding, drinking out of their own little feed bowls and exploring the tree tops of their enclosure in a way that only a Red Panda can.
Endangered in the wild, the cubs form a very important link in the captive breeding population of their species. This breeding program not only works towards ensuring their survival into the future, but also helps forge a greater connection between humans and wildlife by giving an opportunity to educate the public around conservation, both internationally and on our own doorstep.
