Tall Tales - Willoughby Symphony Chamber Series

When:
Sun 20 May 2018
Cost:
$27.50
Details:
The Willoughby Symphony presents Tall Tales, the second concert of their newly launched Chamber Music Series at the Zenith Theatre.

Set in intimate surroundings, audiences will witness the breadth of musical change over time - as the music takes them from the Renaissance era to the Baroque, through exotic influences in 20th Century France and finishing with the evocative works of the Willoughby Symphony’s 2018 Composer-in-Residence Nigel Westlake.

The concert will also feature award-winning guitar virtuoso, Andrew Blanch, who is developing a reputation as one of the country's leading young classical guitarists.

“Our musicians are passionate about sharing their love of music and the Chamber Series is an uplifting and inspirational experience for all who attend,” said Artistic Director, Madeleine Retter. “We look forward to taking you on our next musical journey of beloved works,” she said.

Each concert will be followed by light refreshments and the opportunity to meet the musicians.
