Details:
Did you know that one of the most famous queer plays of our time was written over 400 years ago by a British dude?

Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night takes us through the story of Viola, who finds herself alone in a strange place, and so, fearing for her safety, she disguises herself as a man. But then she falls in love with a guy who thinks she’s a guy, and he falls in love with her — as a guy. Meanwhile she has been seducing a chick on his behalf, and this chick falls in love with her — as a guy. This is Shakespeare’s queerest comedy of the giddying highs and shuddering lows of love. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll have a gay old time.

Twelfth Night will be Fingerless Theatre’s debut production, directed by proud LGBTQI+ community member Alex Kendall Robson, and as this is a play with music – but not a musical – there is music composed and directed by Antonio Fernandez.

Starring Reilly O’Byrne-Inglis (‘One Less God’ – Feature Film) as Viola, and featuring Sydney Shakespeare independent scene young pros Shelley Casey (SheShakespeare Theatre Company, Director), Erica Lovell (‘The Merchant of Venice’ – Sport for Jove, ‘Macbeth’ – SheShakespeare), Sam Plummer (‘Just Macbeth’ – Bell Shakespeare), Jess Vince-Moin (‘Macbeth’ – Bard on the Beach) and Alex Kendall Robson (‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ – 63 Globes, Two Sticks Theatre), amongst many other talented, diverse and exquisite cast members.
