Details:
Join us for a special screening of Accelerate, a documentary on climate change in Australia, at the iconic Orpheum Theatre in Cremorne. The Director, Emma Hudson, will be introducing the film, and we will be joined by an esteemed panel of climate activists, all ‘ordinary Australians’ who have risen to achieve extraordinary things:

Julie Lyford, OAM
A lead activist from the successful campaign to Save Gloucester where a landmark decision was recently handed down in the Land & Environment Court that cited Climate Change as a reason denying the expansion of a coal mine – an unprecedented win by a small rural community in Australia that has sent ripples of hope around the world.

Glen Klatovsky
Acting CEO of 350 Australia. Previously, Glen was Director of the largest collaboration of environmental organisations in Australia, the Places You Love alliance. Glen has also been a Director at WWF-Australia, Carbon Business Manager for Greening Australia and National Campaigner for the Wilderness Society.

Jean Hinchcliffe
Jean is a student at Fort Street High School and is not wasting any time pushing for a response to the climate crisis. She was instrumental in organising one of the largest student-led demonstrations in Australian history – and the first to be championing the cause of climate change. She is one of the leading lights among our youth who will drive the urgent transition to renewables required to enable us to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.

Profits from the sales of tickets will be distributed to the Environment Defenders Office and 350 so they can continue to do their great work.
